【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoversinformationontheselectionofcommerciallyavailabletime-temperatureindicators(TTIs)fornoninvasiveexternalpackageuseonperishableproducts,suchasfoodandpharmaceuticals.Whenattachedtothepackageofaperishableproduct,TTIsareusedtomeasurethecombinedtimeandtemperaturehistoryoftheproductinordertopredicttheremainingshelflifeoftheproductortosignaltheendofitsusableshelflife.Itistheresponsibilityoftheprocessoroftheperishableproducttodeterminetheshelflifeofaproductattheappropriatetemperaturesandtoconsultwiththeindicatormanufacturertoselecttheavailableindicatorwhichmostcloselymatchesthequalityoftheproductasafunctionoftimeandtemperature.Note18212;Besidestime-temperatureindicator,TTIisalsoanabbreviationfortime-temperaturemonitorandtime-temperatureintegrator.1.2Time-temperatureindicatorsmaybeintegratedintoaHazardAnalysisandCriticalControlPoint(HACCP)plan.Appropriateinstructionsshouldbeestablishedforhandlingproductsforwhicheithertheindicatorhassignaledtheendofusableshelflifeortheshelflifeoftheproductatitsnormalstoragetemperaturehasbeenreached.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
