【摘要】:Theabilitytomaintaindesignfunction(forexample,reinforcement,separation,barrier,etc.)ordesignproperties(forexample,tensilestrength,chemicalresistance,etc.),orboth,ofageosyntheticmaybeaffectedbydamagetothephysicalstructureofthegeosyntheticduetotherigorsoffieldinstallation.Theeffectofdamagemaybeassessedbyanalyzingspecimenscutfromsample(s)retrievedafterinstallationinarepresentativetestsection.Analysismaybeperformedwithvisualexaminationorlaboratorytestingofspecimensfromthecontrolsample(s),andfromtheexhumedsample(s).Auniformpracticeforinstallingandretrievingrepresentativesample(s)fromatestsectionisneededtoassessinstallationdamageusingprojectspecificorgenerallyaccepted,representativematerialsandprocedures.Damageofaspecificgradeandtypeofgeosyntheticunderspecificinstallationproceduresmaybeassessedwithsample(s)exhumedfromafull-scaletestsection.1.1Thispracticecoversstandardizedproceduresforobtainingsamplesofgeosyntheticsfromatestsectionforuseinassessmentoftheeffectsofdamageimmediatelyafterinstallationcausedonlybytheinstallationtechniques.Theassessmentmayincludephysicaltesting.Thispracticeisapplicabletoanygeosynthetic.1.2Thispracticeislimitedtofull-scaletestsections,anddoesnotaddresslaboratorymodelingoffieldconditions.Thispracticedoesnotaddresswhichtestmethod(s)touseforquantifyinginstallationdamage.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
