【摘要】:ThistestmethodcoversatechniqueformeasuringtheconcentrationofDiethyleneGlycolMonomethylEther(DiEGME)inaviationfuels.TheHBandBrixscalerefractometersarespecifiedtodeterminetheconcentrationofthisfuelsystemicinginhibitor(FSII)bymeasuringtherefractiveindexofawaterextract.PrecisionestimateshavebeendeterminedfortheDiEGMEadditiveusingspecificextractionratioswithawidevarietyoffueltypes.Theextractionratiosarehighenoughthatportablehandheldrefractometerscanbeused,butnotsohighastosacrificeaccuracyorlinearity,orboth,inthe0.01to0.25vol%rangeofinterest.DiEGMEisfullydescribedinSpecificationD4171andinotherspecifications.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
