【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheviscosityofdrivelinelubricants(gearoils,automatictransmissionfluids,andsoforth)withaconstantshearstressviscometerattemperaturesfrom-40to10?Cafteraprescribedpreheatandcontrolledcoolingtothefinaltesttemperature.Theapplicabilityofthisparticulartestmethodtopetroleumproductsotherthandrivelinelubricantshasnotbeendetermined.Thistestmethodusesthemillipascalsecond(mPaús)astheunitofviscosity.Onemillipascalsecondisequaltoonecentipoise.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
