【摘要】:ThistestmethodhasbeendevelopedinsupportoftheNationalHomelandSecurityResearchCenter,USEPAbyRegion5ChicagoRegionalLaboratory(CRL).TheN-methylcarbamate(NMC)pesticides:aldicarb,carbofuran,methomyl,oxamyl,andthiofanoxhavebeenidentifiedbyEPAasworkingthroughacommonmechanism.Theseaffectthenervoussystembyreducingtheabilityofenzymes.EnzymeinhibitionwastheprimarytoxicologicaleffectofregulatoryconcerntoEPAinassessingtheNMCx2019;sfood,drinkingwater,andresidentialrisks.Inmostofthecountry,NMCresiduesindrinkingwatersourcesareatlevelsthatarenotlikelytocontributesubstantiallytothemulti-pathwaycumulativeexposure.Shallowprivatewellsextendingthroughhighlypermeablesoilsintoshallow,acidicgroundwaterrepresentwhattheEPAbelievestobethemostvulnerabledrinkingwater.Aldicarbsulfoneandaldicarbsulfoxidearebreakdownproductsofaldicarbandshouldalsobemonitoredduetotheirtoxicologicaleffects.Thismethodhasbeeninvestigatedforusewithreagent,surface,anddrinkingwaterfortheselectedcarbamates:aldicarb,aldicarbsulfone,aldicarbsulfoxide,carbofuran,methomyl,oxamylandthiofanox.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofaldicarb,aldicarbsulfone,aldicarbsulfoxide,carbofuran,methomyl,oxamyl,andthiofanox(referredtocollectivelyascarbamatesinthistestmethod)inwaterbydirectinjectionusingliquidchromatography(LC)anddetectedwithtandemmassspectrometry(MS/MS).Theseanalytesarequalitativelyandquantitativelydeterminedbythismethod.Thismethodadherestomultiplereactionmonitoring(MRM)massspectrometry.1.2TheDetectionVerificationLevel(DVL)andReportingRangeforthecarbamatesarelistedinTable1.1.2.1TheDVLisrequiredtobeataconcentrationatleast3timesbelowtheReportingLimit(RL)andhaveasignal/noiseratiogreaterthan3:1.Fig.1displaysthesignal/noiseratiosoftheprimarysinglereactionmonitoring(SRM)transitions,andFig.2displaystheconfirmatorySRMtransitionsattheDVLsforthecarbamates.1.2.2ThereportinglimitistheconcentrationoftheLevel1calibrationstandardasshowninTable2forthecarbamates.1.3Units8212;ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
